Meet Nathanial — founder of Relieve Physiotherapy — whose personal journey and professional philosophy set this clinic apart.
At Relieve Physiotherapy, you’re never just another appointment on the schedule. Nathanial believes that every injury, every story, and every person is unique — and deserves genuine time, careful listening, and tailored treatment that works for you.
After years working in high-pressure clinic environments focused on KPIs and quotas, Nathanial created Relieve Physiotherapy to return the focus to where it belongs: patient-centred care, thorough assessment, and treatment plans built around real recovery — not preset schedules.
🧭 The Story Behind the Approach
Like many clinicians, Nathanial’s philosophy has been shaped by both professional experience and personal setbacks.
As an elite soccer player, Nathanial faced a series of injuries that were often misdiagnosed or poorly managed — not because his therapists didn’t care, but because assessments were rushed, generic protocols were applied, and true functional recovery was overlooked. After a poorly treated ankle injury led to Achilles tendinopathy, and ongoing shoulder dislocations stemmed from a missed diagnosis and poor rehabilitation, Nathanial personally experienced the consequences of incomplete rehabilitation.
Later, working within several busy physiotherapy clinics, he saw firsthand how many practices were being driven by business KPIs: pushing rigid appointment schedules rather than genuinely assessing what each patient actually needed.
In one instance, he challenged a clinic manager about applying the same strict visit frequency to vastly different injuries — whether it was a minor calf strain or someone unable to walk entirely. The response? "You're being too difficult. Just do as you're told."
That’s when Nathanial knew things had to change.

🩻 The Philosophy Today
At Relieve Physiotherapy, Nathanial’s approach is simple — but not common:
✅ Listen fully to your story.
✅ Perform a thorough, individualized assessment.
✅ Build a treatment plan around you, your injury, and your personal goals.
✅ Continuously reassess progress and adapt as needed.
Whether you're returning to sport, managing chronic pain, or simply want to move better day-to-day, Nathanial believes that effective care is always patient-led, evidence-based, and flexible — never cookie-cutter.
